Eagle Design+Build was founded in 2013, and at its heart it’s a family business.
Our business objectives are to make the design, gaining permission for, building and fitting-out of residential
property as simple and straightforward for our clients as possible.
Structurally, we are an SME, with in-house architectural design and pricing services, plus our construction team and an entire set of skills for all aspects of internal and external fitting-out and finishing.
We aim to use local suppliers, craftspeople and services to support our local economy, with our core business, operating from our own headquarters in northern St Albans, primarily serving St Albans, Harpenden and Redbourn. Special projects are also very occasionally carried-out further afield.
We have our own substantial fleet of vehicles, excellent technical competence and high levels of insurance coverage.
Our key team members
Jimmy Vulajis
Founder and MD
Jimmy has 23 years experience in construction and construction management. Key skills include roofing, bricklaying, site carpentry, project and programme management and quality control.
As the founder and MD of Eagle Design+Build, he
splits his time between site-management, supplier liaison and the operational side of the business.
Passions include driving and cinema, his favourite foods are rare steak and sushi. Enjoys relaxing with his family and travel. Loves football and Bourbon.
Mark Randall
Design and Sales Manager
Mark has been with Eagle Design+Build since February 2019.
Mark’s main roles include overseeing the majority of client interaction throughout the Feasibility Phase A process, through to the gaining of permissions stages and finally to Contract To Build.
Mark is also a practising interior design consultant and enjoys cinema, the performing arts, antiques, cooking and driving.
Cathy Folds
Office and Accounts Manager
Cathy has been with Eagle for 8 years, with 27 years overall experience in the industry.
Cathy’s primary roles include book-keeping/invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, procurement and the management and administration of the Eagle headquarters in St Albans.
To relax, Cathy enjoys walking her two dogs and spending time with her grandchildren. Also enjoys attending festivals and gigs.
Cesc Vulajis
Site Manager
6 years experience. Primary roles are client liaison, subcontractor management and managing supply chain. He’s a qualified football coach. Still plays football and occasional coaching, and enjoys working out. Favourite food is Italian.
Jay Vulajis
Master Roofer
10 years experience. Manages external works including door and window installation. FENSA accredited installer. Loves football, spending time with his two daughters and renovating his own home.
